Remove any burring from inside the tube with a deburring tool.
Angle the pipe downwards to prevent filings entering the tube.
Thoroughly clean the tube end with an abrasive mat until the tube
is clean and free from any grooves, scratches or oxidation.
Insert the fitting to it’s maximum depth and mark the insertion depth on the
tube. Slide the rings onto the tube with the bevelled end facing towards the fitting.
Evenly distribute the Loctite around the circumference of the tube. Ensure the
Loctite isn’t applied near the edge of the tube to avoid it getting inside the tube.
Insert the fitting onto the tube and rotate the fitting 360° so that the Loctite
is applied evenly between the tube and fitting. The fitting must be inserted to the
depth marked on the tube.
Open the tool and place the jaws between the shoulder of the fitting.
Close the tool handles until the ring sits flush with the fitting stop and allow time for
the Loctite to cure.
